Our Story

Lévézou Plateau, Aveyron - Spring 2018.

Every year, we shear our 300 sheep. Over 300 kilos of wool pile up in the sheepfold.

6 generations of farmers.
Tons of wool produced.
And nobody wanted it...

The Starting Point

Faced with the waste of wool, we decided to act. Fertilaine was born!
Our idea is simple: use wool as a 100% natural fertilizer.

What's more, in France, over 10,000 tonnes of wool are thrown away every year!
That's the equivalent of an Eiffel Tower

The first test on flowers (petunias) yielded incredible results!
Wool analyses complement the experiment, comparable to chemical fertilizers.

We have something here that enhances this organic resource and supports local agriculture.
