Where does sheep's wool come from?

100% of the wool used for our fertilizer comes from Aveyron (12) and within a 20-kilometer radius of our family farm.

Why are sheep shorn?

Sheep are shorn once a year in the spring for their well-being.

  1. so they are cooler during the summer.
  2. to prevent parasites from settling in their wool.

Why is wool not used in textile manufacturing?

Today, over 95% of French wool is not used. It's considered waste because until 2020 and the COVID-19 crisis, 80% of the national wool output was exported to China. But also because the entire wool industry in the regions has been abandoned for decades.

Is Fertilaine fertilizer dangerous for my pets?

No danger at all. They might be intrigued by the natural smell, but nothing dangerous.
